Home Health Agency Utilizes WorldView to Prepare for Pre-Claim Review

In preparation for the impending Pre-Claim Review Demonstration, VNA of Florida sought the assistance of document management partner, WorldView. To stay in compliance with the new Center of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) documentation requirements, the agency expanded their use of MedAttach to include Pre-Claim Review (PCR) to electronically organize and annotate their documentation to show medical necessity. Users have the ability to capture documentation from the EMR using a virtual print driver and classify the records as PCR tasks. Markup functionality allows users to redact specific areas of the document and highlight other areas to define the necessary requirement. Ellipses, arrows, highlights, and free form text provide options to prepare the document for audit. “The highlighting and other annotation tools in WorldView really draw the eye to the statements auditors need to make their determinations. This tool has been impactful and efficient,” said Rebecca Lorch, Director of HIM, VNA of Florida.

The added MedAttach functionalities have proven to be an effective solution for PCR preparation. These efficiencies will allow VNA of Florida to adhere to this new demonstration without hiring additional resources. WorldView’s ability to seamlessly adapt to new requirements and integrate the new process into VNA of Florida’s current MedAttach solution were the deciding factors in the selection of WorldView for the PCR project.
