Capital Forest Adopts Automation With WorldView
History With WorldView
In business for over 40 years, Capital Forest didn’t always use the latest piece of technology afforded to them, as they didn’t have a dedicated document management system. Files ranging from correspondents to contracts and agreements were all stored in physical form in file cabinets.
It wasn’t until their ERP partner, DMSi, recommended WorldView that Capital Forest started digitizing and automating their document creation, sharing, and storage. This included everything from invoicing and sales orders to purchase orders and checks.
Further Challenges
Digital document management is only one aspect of many when it comes to managing a manufacturing company with complex logistics and supply chains.
After the first successful integration with Agility, Capital Forest started looking into WorldView’s other workflow streamlining capabilities. However, they were never able to find the right opportunity for a radical change, especially considering the toll it’d take on their accounting department.
Later on, while at the DMSi Partner Connect 2022, the Capital Forest team got the chance to meet with the people from WorldView for dinner. They were able to discuss in-depth the various workflow capabilities they could adapt to facilitate and streamline operations at Capital Forest, like the Credit Request Workflows.
Before having a dedicated workflow in place, Capital Forest’s team wasn’t able to effectively keep track of any rhyme or reason when they were accepting customers' and clients’ returns. At the time, they also didn’t have a policy set in place to handle the time frame and conditions for such requests.
Adopting the Credit Request Workflows
Working with WorldView to implement their CR Workflows solution for businesses, Capital Forest found themselves able to streamline the implementation and sharing of procedures and policies through a standardized process that they can recreate as necessary.
Combined with the digitization of their documents and customer relations, Capital Forest now has a 'paper trail' for each customer and client to help better track and manage returns. That way, if a return was initiated, they’d be able to immediately know the why, where, when, and how, directly from their own records rather than attempting to interview and investigate individual cases.
Another benefit Capital Forest found in implementing the CR Workflow is regulation and policy compliance. Going through older documents, they found that they were handling more returns than they first realized. That’s because they were receiving returns usually over a year after the initial order.
With the full implementation and integration of the CR Workflows solutions, they’re now able to track returns a lot better and link the appropriate paperwork even from years before.
CR Workflows can also be extended to customer relations. Information and data implemented by customers via contact forms can be automatically included in the Agility database and used in future relations with the customers such as sales, accounting, or returns.

The Inclusion of Accounting and Sales Departments
Going forwards, Capital Forest’s accounting departments started using WorldView for all document management and digitization.
Even for more complex workflow, WorldView was the only suitable document management tool that supports both the indexing and storage of documents, which they can log in to approve and complete the various proposed workflows.
The sales representatives at Capital Forest also started using Credit Request Forms when up-selling and establishing a relationship with prospective clients and customers. This is thanks to the CR Workflow’s ability to pull information straight from Agility through its linked API. Now, they only need to type in the sales order number to access all the clients and their orders' information within seconds.

Future Plans
Capital Forest is looking forward to the implementation of an automatic credit memo in the Agility workflow they already have integrated with the logistics, accounting, and communications system.
Credit Memo with WorldView
As of 2022, WorldView is working on the credit memo capability in order to help its client with saving even more time and effort for their accounting teams. This is particularly important as other departments begin adopting automation at an accelerated rate.
Going Forward
